All polyurethane with the exception of gloss has a flattening agent added to it to interrupt the sheen. The more flattening agent it has determines the difference from semi-gloss to satin to flat. You will have to go to a regular paint store for a flat poly. WebIm currently working with poly for my first time, on the second coat. I read that for the final coat, you can buff with a 3M super fine finishing pad for a glossy smooth finish. Havent tried it yet, but i plan to just use my power sander with it and do a quick once over
