Check the Fan and fan clutch operation, make sure the fan shroud is intact. Refrigerant overcharge. Air in the system. The high side does not move and it is at 30psi. It should be at 220psi. There are brand new expansion valves so those have been factored out as the problem. The condensor works properly.

Finally got a guage and with approx. 40psi low side the High side is quickly jumping to >450psi before the high pressure switch custs the compressor off. This only takes about a second or so of compressor run-time for this to occur. Obviously somethiing is stopped up. WebJun 3, 2013 · If you do not read any pressure with the compressor not running (should be >90 psi!) then it appears you have lost your charge. A low pressure cut-off will prevent the compressor from running in the event of low charge, and "no-charge" will do the same. Possibly one or both of your test valves leaks and allowed the R-134 to get out.
