Web9 jul. 2024 · If the upper bolt is going to slip, it's going to slip towards more camber (loosen off the bolts with the weight of the car on the wheels and it goes max camber), that's why I maxed out the upper and used the lobed lower bolt to dial it back. WebSweet and simple. Pull the spindle and caliper mount off, Slide thin shim on with, in your case, the thick part on top and reinstall caliper bracket and spindle. You say your adjustable upper control arms are "maxed out". Do you mean wound in all the way (minned out?). If you cannot pull the top in any further, then your problem is you need adjustable lowers as well. So when I went an got an alignment, my stock camber bolts were maxed out negative. I forget by how much though. That's why I was wondering if I can use two camber bolts for negative camber.
